At IET Birmingham: Austin Court we’ve installed a series of permanent engineering exhibits across our venue, celebrating ground-breaking objects and innovations from the West Midlands.

Born in Birmingham Atrium

Our Atrium glass has been covered with colourful visuals of engineering and technology innovations which have a connection to Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Women in Engineering

Our Women in Engineering exhibit showcases the rich history of women in engineering, highlighting the trailblazers and discoveries made by women. It also celebrates current female engineers and their contributions to the field.

100 Ideas

The main stairwell at Austin Court, linking the ground and first-floor event spaces, showcases 100 ideas that changed the world, as chosen by IET members.

Welcome sign

A WELCOME display in reception celebrates the inventions that came from within a 35-mile radius of Birmingham and are themed per letter.

We’re upgrading our systems, and this includes changes to our customer and member account log in, MyIET. It’s part of our big picture plan to deliver a great experience for you and our wider engineering community.
