IET Venues have applied to join the Green Tourism Business Scheme – the national sustainable tourism certification scheme for the UK. Originally developed in partnership with Visit Scotland, it is now the only certification scheme validated by Visit Britain, through the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT).

An important focus for IET Venues throughout 2011 and into 2012 is to continue to give something back to our local communities as well as supporting other great causes on a more global scale. IET Glasgow: Teacher Building is set to support a great local event this September.

IET Glasgow: Teacher Building unveil their newest event space, The St Enoch Lounge, which has been designed to meet the changing needs of event organisers in Glasgow's city centre. The re-opening saw Beam's Senior VP, Ian Gourlay, cut the ribbon to open the new room.
