About us

Modernised, repurposed and richly refurbished, IET Birmingham: Austin Court has come a long way from its industrial roots. Today, our venue offers a variety of meeting spaces for events of all sizes, from AGMs in our tiered lecture theatre to fine dining, drinks receptions or fork buffets in our Waterside Room.

The location for your next event

Situated in the heart of Birmingham in the up and coming area of Brindleyplace, your event can enjoy waterside ambiance and surprising tranquillity in the midst of the city bustle. Only 5 minutes from major motorway networks and a 15 minute walk from Birmingham’s New Street station, our location is a central meeting point for any local, national and international events.

A historical venue with an infusion of Georgian character and modern technology, our venue differentiates itself further with a team that works relentlessly to ensure each and every event is a success. Renowned for their dedication, expertise and enthusiasm they have every part of your event covered in-house – be it AV, catering, weddings or event coordination.

As a part of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a registered charity, we are passionate about our environmental policy and the well-being of our staff and customers, keeping every part of our service flexible and adaptable.

As one of Birmingham’s most established conference venues, we have a list of partners to cover every need of the industry with the highest expertise. Be it florists, photographers or entertainment you need, we know the right people for the job.

Accommodation

All three locations are dedicated events venues, ensuring our focus is 100% on your conference, wedding or meeting.
